S had to make a sod or log cabin with all natural materials. Obviously this needed parental help. S glued the rocks to chimney and fireplace. I cut and hooked the logs together. We did buy some wood filler for the chinking. Notice the dirt floor and the roof is shingles from the old garage - with moss still attached. We got a A- for a grade. The whole thing is held together with dental floss. I tied the logs together as the glue would not hold them and I obviously couldn't notch them.
The first time the kids have ever gone fishing. I've been a bad mom, but thanks to our kind neighbor who knows the best secret fishing hole in the county, they got to go fishing. About 20 bluegills were caught and M had a bigger fish on the line which broke it. Wanted to show you a photo of the lovely pond and the fish hanging on the line. Another beautiful fall day and everyone very happy to fish.
One of the most beautiful spots in the state and we live a few miles away. The photos don't do it justice. There's a very nice cliff walk and numerous caves. You can see in one photo we are descending the steepest point. The cliffs are beautiful. The trees that day were yellow, not yet red. Our favorite place to go in the fall.
Took some early morning photos. Everything looks great. Huge nasturiums. And this red plant is something I've never had before. The orange pumpkins are what I grew from white pumpkin seeds.
L's Homecoming was last weekend. Here are a FEW of the good photos I took. They were taken at a local corporate headquarters because it was a rainy night.
I'm posting these summer photos in no particular order. If you wonder why there are photos of everyone but E - she hides her face whenever I try to take a picture.
The girls modeled and took the photos. These are just a few of dozens of good ones. They really a pretty good photographers. Uncle M found the locations - an old down town staircase and the facade of bank remodeled in the 60's. And no, that tattoo is not real.
